Therapy

I offer evidence-based treatment to adults 18 and older who reside in California or New York. While I offer therapy to a wide range of individuals using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I also have a few speciality areas.

Adult ADHD

Whether you’re formally diagnosed with ADHD or suspect you might have it, we can work together to build new behavioral patterns that bring you up to speed with - or even go beyond - neurotypical functioning. A lot of ADHD treatment is very action-oriented. In session, I may guide you to identify and address dropped balls, practice focus and awareness strategies in the context of distraction, build and troubleshoot accountability plans, engage with task delegation tools, and accomplish whatever needs to be addressed with your unique expression of ADHD.

Avoidance-Based Procrastination

If you are struggling with procrastination in school, work, or life, I am skilled at helping you not only get to the root of it, but also start approaching avoided tasks within the first few sessions of treatment.

This is a specialty area I also offer as a coach, which may be a good option if procrastination is your primary area of concern, and you do not have additional mental health concerns. If you aren’t sure how to pick between coaching and therapy, you can consider this guide, or we can discuss together in a free consult.

Trauma

If you think you may have PTSD, we can complete a PTSD diagnostic assessment and select an evidence-based treatment that best fits your needs. A majority of my clients with PTSD achieve remission within 6 to 8 sessions, and most achieve remission by 16 sessions.

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Having specialized in comprehensive DBT treatment at Stanford Medicine and Kaiser Oakland, I am now offering individual DBT treatment to clients who are participating, or plan to participate in, a DBT group.
